not the state, as the natural environment for protecting children<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In mid-August, the Ordo Iuris Institute submitted an opinion as part of public consultations conducted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohchr.org\/en\/calls-for-input\/2026\/call-inputs-child-rights-and-safety-digital-environment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><u>Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights<\/u><\/a> (OHCHR), concerning children\u2019s rights and safety in the digital environment. Ordo Iuris pointed to the risk of creating legal frameworks in which a child\u2019s welfare is interpreted in isolation from the welfare of the family, and in which decisions concerning the child are made in opposition to the position of the child\u2019s own parents.
