This is why the ranks of the Friends and Donors of Ordo Iuris are growing, thanks to whom we can undertake bold plans and carry out even the most difficult projects\u2014all the way to a successful conclusion. That\u2019s how I view the book\u2014promoted in 2025 by <em>The New York Times<\/em>\u2014by the American left-wing author Katherine Stewart, who warns about the growing power of conservatives in the U.S. and, in Europe, sees a threat in the influence and effectiveness of the Ordo Iuris Institute for Legal Culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similar recognition came from the Polish weekly Newsweek, which featured Ordo Iuris on its cover twice and called us the \u201cdriving force of an ideological revolution,\u201d writing that \u201cthe influence of Ordo Iuris can be seen everywhere.\u201d Even the European Parliament spoke about us in a similar vein; in two resolutions, it described Ordo Iuris as the \u201cdriving force\u201d behind projects such as \u201cattempts to introduce a ban on abortion and calls for Poland to withdraw from the Istanbul Convention.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alarm at the effectiveness of Ordo Iuris was also expressed <a href=\"https:\/\/ordoiuris.pl\/komentarz\/ordo-iuris-jedna-z-dwoch-najbardziej-znaczacych-organizacji-antygenderowych-w-europie\/\">in the report<\/a> of the left-wing European Parliamentary Forum for Sexual and Reproductive Rights, which cites Ordo Iuris as many as 69 times and considers us one of the two most important and most influential \u201canti-gender <em>think tanks<\/em> in Europe.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other attacks on the Ordo Iuris Institute are, however, brutal attempts to undermine Ordo Iuris\u2019s credibility, which is essential for effectively influencing public opinion, the actions of the authorities, and the rulings of courts and tribunals.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<style>.wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading33972_150fdd-5f, .wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading33972_150fdd-5f[data-kb-block=\"kb-adv-heading33972_150fdd-5f\"]{font-style:normal;}.wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading33972_150fdd-5f mark.kt-highlight, .wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading33972_150fdd-5f[data-kb-block=\"kb-adv-heading33972_150fdd-5f\"] mark.kt-highlight{font-style:normal;color:#f76a0c;-webkit-box-decoration-break:clone;box-decoration-break:clone;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;padding-left:0px;}.wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading33972_150fdd-5f img.kb-inline-image, .wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading33972_150fdd-5f[data-kb-block=\"kb-adv-heading33972_150fdd-5f\"] img.kb-inline-image{width:150px;vertical-align:baseline;}<\/style>\n<h4 class=\"kt-adv-heading33972_150fdd-5f wp-block-kadence-advancedheading\" data-kb-block=\"kb-adv-heading33972_150fdd-5f\"><strong>A Polish court siding with the liars!<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ordoiuris.pl\/informacje-prasowe\/sad-oddalil-powodztwo-ordo-iuris-przeciwko-marcie-lempart-z-uwagi-na-jej-rzekomy-brak-zasobow-bedzie-apelacja\/\">In July<\/a> this year the Regional Court in Warsaw sided with the slanderers who publicly accused us of alleged financial ties with Russia. The judge made that decision, even though pro-abortion activist Marta Lempart openly admitted that there is no direct evidence of funds flowing from Russia to Ordo Iuris. Another initiator of the radically pro-abortion \u201cWomen\u2019s Strike,\u201d who is the author of a conspiracy-theory book about Ordo Iuris, admitted exactly the same thing in the courtroom!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The court did not find that the allegations were true; rather, it held that Marta Lempart may attack Ordo Iuris with unverified gossip only because she is supposedly a minor social activist, whereas we are a large organization of professionals\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our attorneys filed an appeal from this adverse judgment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<style>.wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading33972_ad53ec-78, .wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading33972_ad53ec-78[data-kb-block=\"kb-adv-heading33972_ad53ec-78\"]{font-style:normal;}.wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading33972_ad53ec-78 mark.kt-highlight, .wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading33972_ad53ec-78[data-kb-block=\"kb-adv-heading33972_ad53ec-78\"] mark.kt-highlight{font-style:normal;color:#f76a0c;-webkit-box-decoration-break:clone;box-decoration-break:clone;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;padding-left:0px;}.wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading33972_ad53ec-78 img.kb-inline-image, .wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading33972_ad53ec-78[data-kb-block=\"kb-adv-heading33972_ad53ec-78\"] img.kb-inline-image{width:150px;vertical-align:baseline;}<\/style>\n<h4 class=\"kt-adv-heading33972_ad53ec-78 wp-block-kadence-advancedheading\" data-kb-block=\"kb-adv-heading33972_ad53ec-78\"><strong>Liars apologize for their slander.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier, among those who had to apologize for their words were the Mielec councilor <a href=\"https:\/\/ordoiuris.pl\/informacje-prasowe\/sad-nakazal-radnej-z-mielca-przeprosiny-i-wplate-zadoscuczynienia-za-naruszenie-dobr-osobistych-ordo-iuris\/\">Magdalena Wery\u0144ska-Zarzecka<\/a>, as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/ordoiuris.pl\/informacje-prasowe\/lewicowa-aktywistka-winna-zniewazenia-prezesa-ordo-iuris\/\">El\u017cbieta Podle\u015bna<\/a> (known for a campaign of putting up images of Our Lady of Cz\u0119stochowa with a \u201crainbow halo\u201d) and the MP from The Left <a href=\"https:\/\/ordoiuris.pl\/informacje-prasowe\/ordo-iuris-wygrywa-w-sadzie-z-poslanka-lewicy-anna-maria-zukowska\/\">Anna Maria \u017bukowska<\/a> (the verdict in her case is not yet final). Corrections regarding Ordo Iuris appeared in media such as the websites of TVN 24 television, Radio Zet and Radio Tok FM, as well as outlets like WP, Onet, Polityka, Newsweek, Na Temat and Gazeta Wyborcza, all left-liberal media outlets. The last one, Gazeta Wyborcza, was forced after our intervention to remove false articles by Tomasz Pi\u0105tek that, to this day, are one of the main sources of the absurd lies repeated about us.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I believe that, in the end, the remaining slanderers\u2014against whom proceedings for violation of the good name of Ordo Iuris are pending\u2014will also be forced to apologize for their attacks on Ordo Iuris: Minister of Foreign Affairs Rados\u0142aw Sikorski, Women\u2019s Strike activist Marta Lempart, Women\u2019s Strike activist Klementyna Suchanow, alongside left-liberal politician and LGBT activist Pawe\u0142 Rabiej.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We will steadfastly defend the Ordo Iuris Institute\u2019s good name, because this fight is not just about our reputation. The truth is simple: all our work is made possible by the generosity of Polish families and small business owners, who, through their giving, join in the Ordo Iuris Institute\u2019s mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To counter the smears, Monika Leszczy\u0144ska\u2014the vice president of Ordo Iuris for membership\u2014<a href=\"https:\/\/dorzeczy.pl\/opinie\/769572\/skad-ordo-iuris-bierze-pieniadze-na-swoje-dzialania.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">gave an interview<\/a> to the weekly <em>Do Rzeczy<\/em>, explaining how Ordo Iuris obtains funding for its operations.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have also prepared an <a href=\"https:\/\/ordoiuris.pl\/informacje-prasowe\/kto-wspiera-misje-ordo-iuris-infografika-o-finansowaniu-instytutu\/\">accessible infographic<\/a> containing specific data (in Polish) on the Ordo Iuris Institute\u2019s sources of funding. We lead by example, publishing on our website not only financial statements but also extensive additional information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We regularly call for increased transparency in the funding of non-governmental organizations. The answer doesn\u2019t surprise me.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recent months have shown that, in times of particular challenges to life, family, and freedom, the Ordo Iuris Institute has expanded its activities, demonstrating exceptional effectiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our experts\u2019 work contributed to President Andrzej Duda blocking the censorious \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/ordoiuris.pl\/en\/press-newsdesk\/polands-freedom-lovers-call-on-president-duda-to-veto-donald-tusks-hate-speech-law\/\">hate speech bill<\/a>.\u201d Education Minister Barbara Nowacka was forced to abandon the compulsory depraving of children in <a href=\"https:\/\/ordoiuris.pl\/en\/press-newsdesk\/the-polish-government-wants-to-introduce-compulsory-left-liberal-sex-education\/\">comprehensive sex education<\/a> classes. To date, those in power have also failed to pass any of the pro-abortion bills or any bill on same-sex civil partnerships.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A series of legal and communications measures forced Warsaw Mayor Rafa\u0142 Trzaskowski to <a href=\"https:\/\/ordoiuris.pl\/en\/press-newsdesk\/impartiality-is-not-neutrality-a-polemic-against-the-liberal-view\/\">back down<\/a> from implementing a ban on displaying crosses in Warsaw city offices. <a href=\"https:\/\/ordoiuris.pl\/en\/comments\/we-made-it-rafal-trzaskowski-will-not-be-the-president-of-poland\/\">We contributed<\/a> to his defeat in the presidential election as well, by reaching over a million Poles with our campaign about the true views of the ruling party\u2019s candidate, for which his campaign staff <a href=\"https:\/\/ordoiuris.pl\/komentarz\/jerzy-kwasniewski-trzaskowski-chce-nam-zamknac-usta-straszy-nas-prokuratura\/\">threatened us<\/a> with taking the matter to the prosecutor\u2019s office.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have published the report \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/polskareaktywacja.pl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Poland. Reactivation<\/a>,\u201d which outlines the policy framework for rebuilding the Polish state after Donald Tusk\u2019s tenure, as well as the report \u201c <a href=\"https:\/\/ordoiuris.pl\/en\/reports\/the-great-reset-our-draft-proposal-for-deep-eu-reform-now-available-in-five-languages\/\">The Great Reset. The Urgent Need for Reform of the European Union\u201d<\/a>,\u201d which we translated into English, Hungarian, French, and Spanish, and presented in Washington, Budapest, Warsaw, Madrid, and Brussels, with plans to present it soon in Paris and Rome.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ordoiuris.pl\/en\/press-newsdesk\/summary-of-the-report-why-do-we-need-sovereignty\/\">We highlighted the risks<\/a> related to the reform of the EU treaties, we signed documents establishing an Ordo Iuris branch <a href=\"https:\/\/ordoiuris.pl\/en\/press-newsdesk\/ordo-iuris-africa-our-representation-in-arusha-the-african-capital-of-human-rights\/\">in Africa<\/a>, and our representatives personally took part in <a href=\"https:\/\/ordoiuris.pl\/en\/press-newsdesk\/ordo-iuris-joins-pro-life-coalition-at-69th-session-of-un-commission-on-status-of-women\/\">the 69th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women<\/a> in New York, where we were the only organization from Europe within the coalition of defenders of life and family that helped block pro-abortion proposals in the conference\u2019s closing declaration.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More than <a href=\"https:\/\/ordoiuris.pl\/informacje-prasowe\/500-tys-podpisow-w-obronie-religii-w-szkole-zlozone-w-sejmie\/\">half a million signatures<\/a> were submitted to the Sejm of the Republic of Poland in support of a bill drafted by Ordo Iuris lawyers that safeguards the place of catechesis in the education system. Our experts convinced the Sejm Committee on Petitions to refer our <a href=\"https:\/\/ordoiuris.pl\/informacje-prasowe\/projekt-zakazu-wykonywania-na-dzieciach-operacji-zmiany-plci-jednoglosnie-przekazany-do-dalszych-prac-sejmowych\/\">bill<\/a> banning transition-related mutilation of children for further parliamentary proceedings. Our draft <a href=\"https:\/\/ordoiuris.pl\/en\/press-newsdesk\/multipartisan-support-in-the-polish-parliament-for-a-citizens-bill-aimed-at-protecting-children-from-online-pornography\/\">anti-pornography bill<\/a>, for which we previously collected over 212,000 signatures, was unanimously supported by all political parties and referred to parliamentary committees for further work.<\/p>\n\n\n<style>.wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading33972_ccedd6-40, .wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading33972_ccedd6-40[data-kb-block=\"kb-adv-heading33972_ccedd6-40\"]{font-style:normal;}.wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading33972_ccedd6-40 mark.kt-highlight, .wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading33972_ccedd6-40[data-kb-block=\"kb-adv-heading33972_ccedd6-40\"] mark.kt-highlight{font-style:normal;color:#f76a0c;-webkit-box-decoration-break:clone;box-decoration-break:clone;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;padding-left:0px;}.wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading33972_ccedd6-40 img.kb-inline-image, .wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading33972_ccedd6-40[data-kb-block=\"kb-adv-heading33972_ccedd6-40\"] img.kb-inline-image{width:150px;vertical-align:baseline;}<\/style>\n<h4 class=\"kt-adv-heading33972_ccedd6-40 wp-block-kadence-advancedheading\" data-kb-block=\"kb-adv-heading33972_ccedd6-40\"><strong>Powerful lobbyists want to silence us<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>It is therefore no surprise that the lobbyists who promote radical ideologies have for years sought to destroy Ordo Iuris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I remember clearly how five years ago 38 left-wing Members of the European Parliament signed an unprecedented demand to delist the Ordo Iuris Institute from the European Union\u2019s Transparency Register, in which we are listed as one of the few civil society organizations defending life and the family at the EU level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In turn, <a href=\"https:\/\/ordoiuris.pl\/komentarz\/globalni-lobbysci-wzywaja-do-wykluczenia-ordo-iuris\/\">in 2023<\/a> the biggest global lobbyists for gender ideology and abortion \u2014 including ILGA (International Lesbian and Gay Association), which brings together over 600 organizations from 90 countries; the global giant Planned Parenthood, which operates hundreds of abortion clinics; and the Center for Reproductive Rights foundation, which has been behind the global abortion movement for 30 years \u2014 petitioned the European Commission to exclude the Ordo Iuris Institute from participating in the work of committees monitoring the spending of EU funds in Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The global magnates of abortion and gender ideology also demanded that the UN remove us from the prestigious list of organizations holding consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this light, it was a minor inconvenience that left-wing activists twice caused the termination of our office lease in Brussels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although each of these battles was a classic David-and-Goliath clash, every time we managed to fend off the attacks and withstand repeated attempts to block our work. No one can silence us by simply cutting off funding.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And that\u2019s exactly why our powerful opponents fight us so fiercely, trying to block our work in many different ways.
