The Ordo Iuris Institute has prepared an infographic on the report on the “Great Reset.”

The graphic summarizes the report entitled “The Great Reset. Restoring the sovereignty of European Union member states,” which presents a critical assessment of the current direction of EU integration. The authors point to a crisis of democracy and identity, growing centralization of power, and the limitation of member states’ sovereignty. It highlights the decline in the EU’s competitiveness vis-à-vis the US and China, excessive regulation, bureaucracy, and an ideological approach to climate and social policy. The report draws attention to the weakening of democracy, freedom of speech, and internal security, as well as the expansion of the powers of EU institutions beyond the treaties. Two alternative scenarios for EU reform are presented: “Back to basics” and “A new beginning.” The first involves limiting the EU’s powers, decentralization, strengthening the role of nation states, and maintaining unanimity on key issues. The second proposes dissolving the current EU and creating a new international organization based on sovereign states and voluntary cooperation.
