The Ordo Iuris Institute represents Marta Czech – an activist of the Confederation of the Polish Crown, the party of pro-life MEP Grzegorz Brown, who was charged in connection with the intervention of the latter at the hospital in Oleśnica. This was after the killing a few months ago of baby boy Felek by Dr. Gizela Jagielska, when the boy’s mother was nine months into pregnancy.
On August 29, proceedings involving Marta Czech took place at the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Wrocław. The activist was charged with deprivation of liberty and violation of the physical integrity of doctor Gizela Jagielska. She did not admit to the charges against her.
The matter concerns the intervention of Deputy Grzegorz Braun at the hospital in Oleśnica on April 16 this year. The politician attempted to perform a citizen’s arrest on Dr. Gizela Jagielska in connection with the abortion she performed on a woman in her 9th month of pregnancy. Marta Czech also participated in the intervention.
Preventive measures in the form of police supervision and a prohibition on contacting Dr. Gizela Jagielska or approaching her within a distance of less than 50 meters have been imposed on her. The Ordo Iuris Institute is providing legal assistance to the woman. Ordo Iuris’ lawyers have filed a complaint against the applied preventive measures.
