The starting point for the debate is the case of Noelia Castillo – a case from Spain that exposed the serious risks associated with the broadening of euthanasia legislation and its application to the most vulnerable individuals.
The judgment of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), on which Poland’s Supreme Administrative Court relied to order the transcription of a “gay marriage,” was delivered in breach of the CJEU’s competence. The EU Member States have never conferred on the European Union competence in the field of matrimonial and family law.
The Ordo Iuris Institute is preparing a notification to the prosecutor’s office on the possible commission of a crime by pro-abortion activists.
MEPs have pointed to persistent systemic threats to the rule of law in the Member States. The need for more effective enforcement of the European Commission’s recommendations is emphasized.

The Ordo Iuris Institute presented the Polish government with a legal opinion in which it demonstrates that the regulation drafted by the Ministry of Digital Affairs is inconsistent with Article 18 of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland, the Family and Guardianship Code, the Act on Civil Status Records, and the Principles of Legislative Technique.
Although granting same-sex couples the privileges of marriage was one of the promises of Donald Tusk’s government, we have so far managed to successfully block its implementation. Now the attack on marriage and the family has been carried out through the courts and international tribunals, where today the main battle over the future of the Polish family is being fought.
The Council of Europe document devotes disproportionately little attention to the situation of Christians in Europe, focusing instead on the problems affecting followers of other religions.
On May 8th, the Polish government was set to sign the SAFE defence procurement loan agreement with the European Commission in Warsaw. It was going to do so despite President Nawrocki’s veto of the law that would have greenlit such a large long-term commitment for Poland, as required by the country’s Constitution.
Radicals are increasingly terrified and, in an act of desperation, are calling to gag all defenders of life and family. Their attacks and curses are the best proof that together we are moving in the right direction.
The negotiations broke down due to disputes over provisions on “sexual and reproductive health” and the linking of this concept to human rights and gender equality policy.
The authors of the analysis note that matters concerning the protection of life and the organization of healthcare systems fall within the competence of the member states and emphasize that the use of existing EU financial instruments could lead to EU institutions exerting influence over national constitutional orders.
